The University is now seeking to appoint two Lay Members to its Board. As the University's governing body, the Board is responsible for providing strategic oversight, ensuring effective stewardship of resources, and supporting the institution in delivering its mission and long-term ambitions.

The University is seeking individuals who can bring senior-level expertise alongside a strong understanding of governance in complex organisations. Following an assessment of current and future Board requirements, the University is particularly interested in candidates who can offer experience either in: senior academic leadership in higher education, with expertise in academic assurance; and/or experience of leading major philanthropic fundraising campaigns. Senior accountancy experience, including a recognised professional accountancy qualification will also be advantageous. Candidates will have a strong track record of achievement, excellent judgement and communication skills, and the ability to contribute constructively to strategic discussion and decision-making.
