Role

As a Site Safety Lead, you will act in a business partner capacity to provide support, competent and professional safety advice to the Site Operational Team in order to develop and continually improve all aspects of our safety culture, performance, and management in accordance with the safety management system and relevant legislative requirements.

Day to day, you`ll drive a step change in the safety culture across the business contributing to improved safety performance, building close working relationships with the Head of Site (HoS) and working flexibly to deliver against the key accountabilities described below.

This role is 37 hours per week on a 12 month fixed term contract, based at our Pendine site with a minimum average site attendance of four days per week.

The QinetiQ Pendine facility, located on the coast of South Wales, is renowned for its extensive capabilities in testing and evaluating defence systems, particularly in the fields of weapons and vehicle performance. Pendine plays a critical role in the UK`s defence landscape providing essential services that contribute to the development and assurance of military hardware.
