Grade 8 £51,860 pa rising incrementally to £53,761 pa including London Weighting 
Permanent full-time 
35 Hours per week

The Equality and Strategy Department sits at the heart of the TUC. 

The team leads policy and campaigning on equality issues, including supporting the TUC's democratic structures for race, gender, LGBT+ and disability equality. 

The team also has a central role in the planning and delivery of overall TUC strategy and priorities, working closely with the General Secretary and the rest of the senior management team and the TUC’s governance structures. 

We’re looking for an experienced policy officer to take the lead in our policy work on gender equality, working with our women’s committee. 

What Experience, Skills, Knowledge and understanding do you need?

You’ll have experience in developing and promoting public policy  
You’ll have excellent experience in sourcing and presenting complex information in a variety formats and for different audiences 
You’ll have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
You’ll have excellent organisational skills
You’ll have good knowledge and understanding of current equality policy debates and legislation
You’ll understand the role and concerns of the trade union movement
