Role Summary

You will work for Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).
CIW checks childcare and social care services in Wales.
Your job is to check these services are safe and good quality.
You help make sure children and carers are safe and happy.
You will work with a team manager and other people.

Key Tasks

Check services as planned, including visits and reports.
Watch how children and people are cared for.
Find problems and help fix them.
Work with other groups like local councils and safety teams.
Write reports and legal notices if needed.
Keep good records on the computer.
Share good ideas and tell the team if there are worries.
Help improve how inspections work.

Skills and Experience

Know about childcare and keeping people safe.
Be good at checking and writing reports.
Communicate well with others.
Be organised and manage your own work.
Be willing to learn and improve your skills.

Pay and Hours

Pay is between £37,111 and £45,378 per year.
You may get an extra payment of £4,535.
Full time work is usual but part time or job share can be discussed.

Location and Workplace

The job is based in Llandudno, Wales.
You will visit childcare and care services in your area.
