Role Summary

You will be Chair of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA).
HFEA is the UK regulator for fertility treatment and embryo research.
You will make sure HFEA follows laws and government priorities.
You will work with the Chief Executive and others to build good relationships.

Key Tasks

Lead the HFEA board and make important decisions.
Support and guide all board members.
Help new members learn their roles well.
Advise the Department of Health and Social Care about member performance.

Skills and Experience

You need strong leadership experience in public, private, or charity sectors.
You must be good at making smart, evidence-based decisions.
You should be able to communicate well and work with many people.
You cannot be a doctor or involved in fertility treatment or research.

Pay and Hours

You will be paid £47,360 each year.
You need to work 2 to 3 days a week.
The job can last up to 3 years.

Location and Workplace

This is a UK-wide role.
You will work with government and fertility groups across the UK.
