Role summary

Work as a lawyer for the Financial Reporting Council (FRC).
Help support UK economic growth by giving legal advice.
Support the Director of Legal Services and other senior lawyers.
Give clear advice on public and regulatory law.
Help the FRC Board, committees, and teams stay legal and safe.

Key tasks

Give prompt, clear, and useful legal advice on many law issues.
Manage your work well and meet deadlines.
Advise senior FRC staff and board members with some supervision.
Work well with the legal team and other departments.
Find and fix legal risks.
Keep good relationships inside and outside the FRC.

Skills and experience

Qualified lawyer (solicitor or barrister) in England and Wales.
Good experience in public and regulatory law.
Good at talking and writing clearly to different people.
Team player with strong people skills.
Organised and can handle tough deadlines.
Experience working with outside lawyers.
Interested in the laws that affect the FRC.
