An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Assurance Business Partner to join Home Group. You will have responsibility to ensure a focused and consistent approach to Home Group’s key legislative risks are controlled.
The role will audit and investigate both contractors and Home Group property statutory obligations and act as the business property statutory compliance competent expert.

You’ll have experience of assisting in developing and implementing Statutory Compliance processes in a complex environment and experience of liaising with enforcement authorities, regulators and professional trade bodies in both a proactive and reactive capacity.
Detailed knowledge of current property statutory practice and knowledge/ awareness of changing legislation.
A relevant Gas or electrical auditing qualification including ISO and Health & Safety qualifications, minimum of NEBOSH (ideally Diploma or equivalent) General or Construction certificate is needed for the role.
You’ll have a proven ability to develop the strong relationships required to implement a challenging system.
Excellent presentation, communication and influencing skills are needed with the ability to work independently and effectively managing your own diary and workload.
Ability to engage, integrate and work collaboratively with other colleagues in the Health and Safety team and the wider business.
Travel will be included within this role therefore a current driving licence with business insurance is essential.
Where you’ll work
You’ll work across all parts of England and Scotland, based near one of our main Regional Offices in Newcastle, Leeds or London would be beneficial, although you will have the flexibility of working either from home or in one of our local offices and we’ll give you the technology and kit to make that easy.
The great news is that you’ll have the chance to shape your own diary, however you will likely spend around 3 days or so per week on the road and working from home the rest of the time.
It’s the team’s unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours!
