We have fabulous job opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers who have support needs ranging from semi-independent with low support needs to those customers with multiple high and complex needs from the ages of 18+.

They live in a range of properties in the Midlands region. The properties are within the Aston Hall Reprovision service, which consists of 17 properties housing 49 customers with complex needs, but you will also be a part of the wider Housing Management service within the Midlands region so will get the opportunity to work covering different property types and service set ups.

You’ll be our Housing and Property Guru! Focussing on tenancy support, you’ll provide a housing management service to our customers, supporting them to manage their tenancy and rent accounts.  You’ll also help our customers with their housing benefit claims and making sure that these are received on their rent account.  You’ll turn around vacant bed spaces so that new customers who need our help can move in quickly.  You’ll also make sure our service achieves maximum occupancy, and that we are health and safety compliant!

About you

You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.  You will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.

As Housing Management Coordinator you’re experienced in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties. You know all about re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed. You’re great at managing your own time and have strong written and verbal communication skills.  

To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)

To make sure our customers are well supported, it’s important that you have worked in a supported living environment before. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll help to you understand how things work at Home Group!

As this is a community-based role, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a car insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay you expenses to cover this use!

When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.

Our manager is Mike Swann who has been with Home Group for more than 7 years.  There are 3 of us in the wider Midlands Housing Management team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too!

Working hours

You’ll be working between the hours of 9:00am – 17:00pm Monday to Friday.  We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!
