We have a brilliant opportunity for you to join our awesome team as a Support Worker, where every day is different, but you leave each day knowing you have made a difference.
We support our brilliant customers who have all been given a homeless duty with Huntingdon district council. They live in a supported housing service in a 6-bed shared house. We also have ten dispersed properties in the local community where customers live alone. We help our customers achieve goals around their housing and other (often complex) support needs.
We do this by working in a person-centred way to help promote independent tenancy skills and their health, wellbeing, and resilience. Our primary aim is to provide housing with support, to help our customers successfully move on to independent living.

You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. You will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.
We help change our customer’s lives for the better. You’ll play your part by assisting in the delivery of tasks that are based on our customers personal support plans, and their needs and aspirations. You’ll work with our support coordinator and external agencies to assess and engage support for our customers.
We empower our customers to develop the independent living skills they need, to successfully move on. Together we’ll make a difference!
To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's important that you are technologically savvy. It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however it’s your “can do” positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here.
As this is a community-based role, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to your own vehicle, insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay you expenses to cover this use.
When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
We are a Monday to Friday 9-5 service however we all know things crop up unexpectedly so we need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you.
About our team
As a Support Worker, you’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our manager is Angela who’s been at the service for 6 years.
We are a small team of just two (Three if you count Vince the dog) we are really excited at the thought of welcoming a third person to create a small but perfectly formed team.
