About the role 

We are seeking two enthusiastic Production Managers to be part of our Field Survey Services (FSS) GB Management Team within Operations. As a Field based Production Manager, you will lead one of our remote based teams of Surveyors in production delivery to the agreed volume and specified quality as agreed in the Operations Service Delivery Plan.

You will have line management responsibility for up to 15 field surveyors. You'll be part of the wider FSS Production management Team, working alone for periods of time yet working closely with team members as required to ensure the Field deliver and our people are led well. You will be provided with the vital tools to do the job, including a car.

Key elements of the role include:

Managing a team of skilled Surveyors; working remotely you will make key decisions about how the team resource is best utilised to achieve production targets and meet project demands

Scheduling, planning & providing direction and coordination to surveyors within your team

Liaison with your Operational Area (PM) colleagues and other FSS PM’s to improve consistency of delivery

Liaison with the Field Consultants Team and Team GB, other Operations teams and stakeholders from around the business to improve consistency, quality and volume of delivery

Development of your team within a significantly changing technical environment

You will report to the Senior Production Manager for your Field Operating Area

What we’re looking for 

Someone who has:

Ability to lead, manage and build the capability of a remote based team to deliver to the highest standards

Ability to identify the business benefits of change; leading the development of new and existing processes

Very good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills

Very good IT Skills especially in GI

Good production management and delivery skills within a service plan, translating requirements into focused, profiled, and costed outputs

Good at developing relationships both internally and, where necessary, externally understanding changes to customer requirements and needs

Knowledge of relevant data collection techniques would be advantageous

A willingness to travel and work across Field Operations

Location: Ideally based, within, or within reasonable travel of the North West & South Wales production group. However successful candidates will have described how they would successfully operate within the role.

The successful applicant is expected to work from home and travel extensively to meet business commitments across the production group, with regular Head Office (Southampton) visits and team commitments across Great Britain.
