About the role

We have some superb opportunities to join our Product Assurance team within NMS as a Data Assurance Manager! The main role of our Data Assurance Manager is to ensure that our corporate data meets our business needs and that our data products, as delivered to customers, comply with their published technical specifications.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

Develop and run database queries before collating and reporting results as appropriate to provide business confidence in the integrity of the database and product.

Design, develop and implement automated software routines which validate product content against flowlines published product specifications, creating a stable and replicable environment for product testing.

Review and develop data testing procedures in order to maintain currency with technological advancements and industry best practice, ensuring the integrity and quality of OS data is preserved.

Provide technical expertise to support the resolution of data quality issues within the production process.

What we’re looking for

If you are interested in joining our team, we are looking for you to demonstrate skills in:

A proven track record in investigating, designing, defining and implementing technical solutions

Good technical capabilities with experience in spatial database management, (e.g. Oracle, PostGIS), GIS software and tools (e.g. QGIS, ArcGIS, GeoMedia)

Experience conducting data querying and analysis (e.g. SQL, Python, FME)

Experience using relevant product, data and capture specifications and applying these to geospatial data investigation, statistical analysis and the delivery of technical reports

Very good communication skills with the ability to engage, work with and influence partners at all levels
