Employer of the week
About the role
We are looking for Associate Solution Architects to join the growing team of technical leaders who create the architecture for the next generation of geospatial data management and access systems. We use the latest innovations in UX, machine learning, cloud data management technologies and APIs.
By joining our expanding Technology and Design team, you will benefit from collaboration with the brightest minds in OS - some of the best experts in the field. Working with stakeholders from across the organisation, you will engage with delivery teams to define and realise architectural solutions.
We are looking for people that we can develop into Solution Architects with technical experience but are looking to take that important next step in their careers. At OS, we have a clear career path in the Architecture domain and are keen to offer you the training and development opportunities to help you thrive.
What we’re looking for
If you’re interested in joining a team that lies at the heart of what OS is about, we’re looking for someone that can demonstrate skills in:
Being an effective communicator and presenter
Love solving problems
Lots of initiative
A passion for learning
Have a good grasp on technology but not necessarily the experience.
Developing relationships and influencing people
Collaborating with and providing technical direction to software delivery teams
Above all, being a team player – we help each other to be great
Technically, your experience will include:
Very little! This role is about learning and developing new skills to becoming a Solution Architect.
It is advantageous but not essential to have exposure to architecting systems on the Microsoft Azure Platform or in the Cloud. Experience in the geospatial domain would be an advantage.
We want you to love what you do. That’s why our benefits package rewards a job well done. We’ll give you:
Salary: £40,749 - £45,543
Performance related bonus
A competitive pension scheme
We embrace flexible working and can consider different working hours dependent on the role and your personal circumstances
25 days annual leave - (30 days after five years) bank holidays and an extra 3 over Christmas
Plus, a suite of excellent additional benefits
OSHQ is based in Southampton, Hampshire but at OS we believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go. We embrace a hybrid working model where we believe the choice is with the individual on when they work from our fantastic office or from home. We want to continue to be an inclusive employer and recognise that one size doesn’t necessarily fit all.
