Job Description

Peabody are looking for Housing Support Workers to work in our Colchester supported Housing hostels for single people and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

You will have a good knowledge of welfare benefits, Risk assessments and support planning processes, safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children, able to promote independent living skills, advice and guidance around tenancy management, employment education and training. 

Good communication skills and computer skills are vital, as is the ability to keep accurate records, work as part of a team and manage a caseload.

Please note there is no personal care required for this role.

You will form part of the 24 hours 7days a week rolling rota. This includes some early starts and sleep in duties per week so you will require a flexible approach to working.

Example of shift patterns: 8am-3.30pm, 9am-5pm and 3.30pm-11pm.
