What we're looking for
We are looking for an ambitious individual who is keen to grow their experience in internal communications.

You’ll be a strong writer, with a sense of what makes a great story and loads of ideas for bringing content to life in different formats. 

You’ll be curious about what’s going on across the business and finding ways to make our strategy meaningful for people.  And you’ll be experienced at supporting a variety of internal communications activity.

You’ll have an eye for design and experience of amending and designing content. And you’ll be interested in how we use images.

What you'll be doing:

Develop and deliver internal communications activity within the team’s editorial plan – working within a newsroom-style environment.
Support the delivery of internal communications activity, campaigns and change communications that help to bring the DLG strategy to life for our people and reinforce our employee value proposition.
Proactively seek out ideas for content that support our editorial plan, help to make our strategy meaningful for our people, drive our culture and reinforce our employee value proposition.
Develop and draft content for a range of purposes including headlines, captions, intranet, digital content, interviews, features, films; audio, digital and live activity.
Amend and design collateral to support the editorial plan.
Develop and manage a suite of imagery for the wider team to use and work with other areas of the business to share images that help to illustrate our content. 
Keep IC brand guidelines up to date, develop them over time and liaise with external design agencies on best practice
Build a strong network of contacts within HR and across the wider business.
Develop briefing materials for user generated content, contributors to team-generated content or suppliers, to ensure clear outcomes and messages that reinforce our DLG narrative.

Who you’ll be working with:
You’ll be working within the Internal Communications team, reporting to the Planning, Editorial and Channels Manager, alongside two Internal Communications Managers. And you’ll build strong relationships across all areas of the business, getting to know our audiences, our content owners, our influencers and our leaders.
