The Director, HR Consultancy is an integral member of the Centrica HR
Consultancy Services team, ensuring business intimacy & commerciality to
provide business support where needed to support the delivery of our HR
plan. The job holder will work in partnership with HR Partners & business
leaders to deliver key business change & transformation, working in
collaboration with the delivery and CoE HR teams. 

The job holder will be responsible for working through the initial diagnosis
of business issues with the HR Partner & relevant CoEs to develop
appropriate commercial solutions. The job holder will then be responsible
for effectively delivering business requirements, providing strategic &
commercial HR expertise and support to business / functional stakeholders,
leading squad teams as appropriate.

In particular this job role will take the lead on the HR implications of
Financial Services regulation; advising stakeholders and supporting the
embedding of a conduct culture.

This is a fixed term contract opportunity for 9 - 12 months and the job
holder and there is flexibility on where the role holder may be based in the
UK.

The Job role:

 * 

Establish and maintain relationships with the HR Partner and business/
function stakeholders to understand needs, ensure alignment on objectives,
and ongoing buy-in across all project activities
 * 

Provide HR professional support and expertise on strategic projects, to
ensure delivery and effective execution of all activities
 * 

Work with the HR Partner, business/ function stakeholders & shared services
to develop key milestones and plans, ensuring they align with the group IR
agenda
 * 

Work closely with the shared service team and other CoE members to ensure
business requirements are understood and HR solutions are applied and
understood by key stakeholders
 * 

Lead, coach and motivate ‘squad’ teams to ensure successful
delivery of all projects to time and costs
 * 

Ensure escalated project issues are effectively managed and resolved,
ensuring regular communications and progress updates are provided to key
stakeholders
 * 

Coach business leaders, offering advice, feedback and challenge where
appropriate so that they receive appropriate support
 * 

Conduct post project reviews to learn from and share best practice
 * 

Network externally to bring in best practice and leading edge thinking to
ensure team remains relevant and highly skilled
 * 

Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory changes.

The Person:

Experience of working within Financial Services and understanding of SMCR
and conduct culture is highly desirable
 *
