Job Description

The purpose of the role is to:

Create and analyse online surveys, polls and discussion rooms from the Mail Metro Media insight community and other research projects
Assist in the running of the community, e.g. monitoring and encouraging engagement
Write and script studies using Decipher (survey scripting software)
Assist with running larger scale strategic research projects & thought pieces
Run campaign effectiveness surveys to measure impact of advertising
Provide audience, market and category insight to support Mail Metro Media sales teams
Examine industry research and data, e.g. TGI, Omniture, Mintel & PAMCo
Examine internal data analytics tools, e.g. Admantx & Permutive
Analyse and tell stories from Mail Metro Media traffic using Omniture
Produce sales materials, including audience segmentation, market and category analysis
Generate creative ideas during brainstorms
Collaborate with Marketing team to create compelling commercial sales stories
Take personal responsibility for continual skills base development
Utilise Mail Metro Media learning resources
Seek and adopt latest insight technologies and practices
Work with, support and share knowledge with other members of Insight team to ensure innovative, high quality insight across Mail Metro Media

The role will be assessed by:

Delivery of high quality insight, as assessed by Head of Insight & Insight Manager
Manager and peer feedback

Experience / skills required:

Passion/enthusiasm for the industry
Experience writing and analysing surveys
Experience using or working with panel and research providers
Understanding of insight and research methodologies
Competency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
Experience working in insight within media or publishers preferred
