Description:

As the Management Effectiveness Lead you'll analyse, identify and prioritise
the conditions that have the biggest impact in enabling managers to be
trusted and capable, whilst building high performing and engaged teams.

Can be based in any UK office

The role;

 * Leverage internal and external insight to define the capability and
behavioural requirements expected of line managers
 * Can identify and define the conditions that are required for line
managers to be effective leveraging tools, policies, personal development,
recognition, wellbeing and team diversity
 * Can identify the current barriers that inhibit line managers from
creating the conditions for success in their team
 * Can identify, prioritise and deliver the critical programmes of work that
enable line managers and deliver the highest value
 * Partner with various teams in a cross-functional / matrix structure to
deliver the programmes of work identified
 * Consolidate and sequence activity that will be delivered to line managers
to minimise disruption
 * Develop a suite of tools that enable line managers to be effective at
leading engaged, diverse and productive teams
 * Works with the Leadership, Culture and Communications Director, Colleague
Experience Directors and HR Partners to consolidate and streamline the line
management change plan
 * Uses data and insight to take a ‘colleague first’ approach
in developing and delivering initiatives that improve the effectiveness of
line managers
 * Enable line managers to take proactive steps in reducing absence,
enhancing performance and creating a culture of empowerment
 * Looks for opportunities to encourage internal mobility of line managers
and career development

Technical

 * Colleague Experience; Defining, planning and documenting an
organisation-wide approach to improve the colleague experience, such that it
helps meet business goals.
 * Change Management; effectively identifies, manages, initiates and
influences change. Influences cultural and behavioural changes across the
organisation.
 * Performance Management; The optimisation of performance of people,
including determination of capabilities, integration into teams, support,
guidance, motivation, and management of performance.

Work Experience

 * Experience in a senior HR or people focussed role, with a specialism in
people development, employee engagement, or organisation effectiveness.
 * Extensive experience in improving the effectiveness of line managers
 * Experience in managing and influencing senior stakeholders
 * Experience in drawing insights and making impactful recommendations
