You will provide a service where planned support and crisis intervention is delivered to vulnerable people with low, medium and high support needs living in independent accommodation with the aim of them maintaining their home. Please note there is no personal care involved with this role.
The successful candidate will provide information, support, guidance and training to customers with various support needs (which include, but not limited to; evictions, rent arrears and debit management, assisting with benefits that have been stopped and obtaining food parcels). In addition, you will help customers by encouraging and increasing their independence, budgeting, support in training and education, dealing with tenancy related issues and signposting to specialist agencies.
The area you will be working in covers Brentwood, Epping and Harlow. We are not providing a visiting service following Government guidelines however, when this changes, you would be expected to visit customers within their own homes in the above areas. As the service covers the county of Essex, there is an expectation of travel across districts to meet service needs.
Working hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. Please note there is no personal care involved with this role.
A full driving licence is required and business insurance is essential in order for mileage allowance to be claimed.
