Housing Management Coordinator
Yeovil, Somerset
Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw)
Salary £19,000 to £20,250 pa, rising to £24,000 through length of service.

We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. You will be based in Yeovil, South Somerset and support our brilliant customers to maintain their tenancies in 37 local properties. You’ll be our Housing and Property Guru! Focusing on tenancy support, you’ll provide a housing management service to our customers, supporting them to manage their tenancy and rent accounts.  You will also be involved in setting up a new supported service in the local area.
 
You’ll help our customers with their housing benefit claims and making sure that these are received on their rent account.  You’ll turn around vacant bed spaces so that new customers who need our help can move in quickly.  You’ll also make sure our service achieves maximum occupancy, and that we are health and safety compliant!

Working hours
As a team we’re critical to supporting our customers. This means your typical working hours will be 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. The good news is that you will have a degree of flexibility, as it’s the team’s unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life. So, whether it’s your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered we’ll work with you in what matters. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours!

Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank.  You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid weekly!
 
About you
You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.  You will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.
 
As a Housing Management Coordinator you’re experienced in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties. You know all about re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed. You’re great at managing your own time and have strong written and verbal communication skills.  
 
To keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)
 
To make sure our customers are well supported, it’s important that you have worked in a supported housing or housing services environment before. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll help to you understand how things work at Home Group!  
 
You’ll need to travel around to spend time with your customers. You could do this role using public transport, or if you drive and have access to a car that would also be amazing! We pay your expenses to cover this use!
 
When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
