Maintenance Surveyor Safety and Compliance
Roles will be based in; Wetherby, London, Chelmsford, Reading and Portsmouth
Permanent, Full Time (3.7 hpw)
Salary circa £31,000 (£35,000 London) negotiable based on skills and experience

You will be working as an integral member of our maintenance team and will provide technical advice to improve quality standards of safety and compliance.  You’ll be delivering a responsive, high quality and caring maintenance service to our customers using customer insight to maximise the customer experience.  You’ll be responsible for surveying and managing the compliance works in partnership with contractors as directed.
 
You’ll inspect Home Group’s properties to identify and recommend improvement across all aspects of Safety and Compliance. Finding creative solutions to issues whilst maintaining safe homes for all our customers.
 
About our team
You’ll be working as part of our fabulous team who are super passionate about delivering a first-class maintenance solution to our customers.  Our director Paul has worked here at Home Group almost 3 years now, having worked in contact centres and maintenance environments for the past 14 years. Outside of work Paul enjoys a hectic social life and when not cooking is planning his next trip with his wife Victoria!
 
You will have the support of a fantastic management team, you’ll be working for David. David has been with Home group for 3 and a half years and has 25 years’ experience in social housing based in asset management, compliance and responsive repairs. You’ll also have a team of brilliant peers to work alongside.
 
Where you will work
We have multiple roles across the UK, you could be based from our Wetherby office, Farringdon/London office, Chelmsford Essex, Reading Berkshire or Portsmouth, Hampshire. The great news is that you will have the flexibility of working either from home or in one of our local offices and we’ll give you the technical kit to make that easy.
 
About you
You will have a proven history within Compliance, Fire Safety, Health &Safety, Gas and Electrical with a strong understanding of M&E and Asbestos management. You will have the ability to manage, control budgets and expenditure with effective time management skills and be able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.  You will have the ability to work unsupervised covering a large geographical area.
 
Previous experience of contract management and working with external partners would be an advantageous to the role.
You will possess an IOSH or NEBOSH or relevant technical qualification (or working towards) (e.g. RICS or CIOB accredited degree level qualification) to succeed in this role.
 
Due to the nature of the role you will be required to drive and have access to your own vehicle which you will be able to claim your business miles back on.
