Enabling our customers to live safely. That’s when it hits home!
We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers, who have a mixture of support needs, including mental health and substance use.
They live in our service known as the “North Hampshire Mental Health Pathway” in Basingstoke. We help our customers to address their support requirements and work with them to move on successfully from our services after receiving the help and support they need. The service is spread over 5 properties, but don’t worry they are all within one postcode on one road.
About our team
You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team, who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. The Concierge team throughout Hampshire is a brand new team, so this is a very exciting time to join and help us to create a service that ensures the safety and security for vulnerable people within our society.
Within the North Hampshire Mental Health Service we are looking for 2 people to join the team, and throughout Hampshire we are looking for more colleagues, who will become part of one larger team. Here at Home Group, we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too!
You will work directly with the support team and engage with them daily for handovers at the beginning and end of your shift. They are a knowledgeable experienced and enthusiastic bunch, who will support you with your induction to the service and customers.
We provide 24-hour support to our customers each day and every day. In this role you’ll work mainly waking nights on a rota basis and take your turn working weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend it on doing the things that matter to you!
Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank. You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.
As our Housing Concierge you’ll play a really important role in supporting the smooth running of our services. You will ensure the safety and securing of our buildings and of our customers, and make sure we get on with our neighbours!
You’ll get involved in lots of different activities which will include monitoring CCTV, regularly patrolling the premises, daily health & safety/fire checks of the service, monitoring visitors to and from the building and ensuring tenancy conditions and service rules are adhered to. As our Housing Support Concierge you’ll also provide out of hours cover being the first point of contact for our clients during the night and at times we’ll also need you to do some general cleaning duties too. You will mainly based at one property, but will be expected to visit all five within your working rota, depending on service needs.
You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative.
To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy or at the very least not a technophobe! If you’re not the biggest fan of technology, that’s not a problem to us. You do need to know that we are quite a high tech company and most of our application process and mandatory learning are online. However we’re glad to support you, if you need help.
It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however it’s your “can do” positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here!
When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
